"what is this blog about?", one may ask. almost four years later and four blog name changes, it's still here and somehow, the reasons for its existence have shifted once 2013 started. the brown eyed perspective is about living the life that you love instead of looking from the outside. i'm on a journey trying to settle down amidst of an 11-year adventure away from home. i'm trying to pack my bags as if i'm going on vacation for the 10,000th time. in my mind, i want to buy a plane ticket, quit my job, fall in love and never come back.
"No No matter where I was, my compass always pointed west. I would always know what time it was in California."
- Astrid Magnussen, White Oleander by Janet Fitch
i'm your average girl next door fortunate to do many great things within my community. three educational degrees later, i found my life's calling which is working with children and families. i'm married to my career, but i'm a lover of life. i'm an L.A. girl living life in the pacific northwest. you can take the girl out of L.A., but you can't take L.A. out of the girl. home is where the heart is. i travel. i blog. i laugh. i eat. drink. sleep. repeat.
