hi friends! yes, i finally have a post, although i'm still a loser for not writing as often as i should. i don't suffer from writer's block. i feel like i always have a bunch of shiz to talk about but during the summer time, it's really hard for me to stay indoors and write. plus, i have been busy traveling and visiting friends alongside with a very hectic time at work. i am also lazy and blogging from my phone instead - so in theory, i have not seen blogger nor read any of your blogs since june. maybe may. who knows.
today marks my 10th year at my job. i didn't think i'd be at the same place for this long. i started out as a teacher and "accidentally" found myself in an administration role. i never saw myself as an administrator but the focus of my job really allows me to use people's strength to make them better teachers, most of all better people. most of you know that i am impatient as a toddler but when it comes to my job somehow, i have an ounce of it.
ten years away from home is a long time. while L.A. is where the heart is, portland has given me a second home, a second family, friends and a career that i never thought would bring me this far. i am grateful for the opportunity. always was. always will.

Yay, you're back! I waas worried we were all going to have to chase you down haha. Congrats on 10 years at your job; it sounds so rewarding and I can't wait to have a job in the education field. And it's great that you've been able to make a home away from home, too :D
ReplyDelete10 years at a job is quite an achievement. Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteHey girl!! I haven't talked to you in so long!!! I didn't even know you weren't around all this time bc I just recently started blogging and reading other blogs again. My computer almost broke and took forever to get fixed. Anyway, Congrats on your accomplishment!! 10 years is a really long time, the longest I've been at a job was 5 and I thought that was long. You should be proud of yourself!
